A ready-to-use special product from the LITHOFIN-Range for
ceramic, natural- and engineered stone.
Lithofin Stain stop PLUS contains high-quality water and oil
repellent agents based on siloxanes and dissolved in solvents.
Special additives permanently intensify the colour structure.
Lithofin Stain stop PLUS sinks into the stone and reduces the
capillary absorbency so water, oil and grease can no longer
penetrate the surface. These materials remain on the surface
and can be wiped off before they cause stains. In addition to
protecting the stone, Lithofin Stain stop PLUS darkens it thereby
invigorating the colour structure.
Density: ca.0.82 g/cm³
Appearance: liquid, colourless
Flash Point: >23°C (c.C)
Field of Use:
For making absorbent ceramic, terracotta, natural- and
engineered stone surfaces stain resistant while at the same
time intensifying their colour structure. Highly suitable for weak
to medium absorbent natural stones like granite, gneiss,
quartzite, slate and limestone with rough to honed surfaces.
Conditionally suitable for polished stones.
Please Note: impregnated surfaces cannot be treated.
Marble and limestone remain sensitive to acid.
Directions for Use:
Always test the product in an inconspicuous area prior to
application. The surface to be treated must be completely dry,
clean and free of stains. Apply Lithofin Stain stop PLUS with a
brush, a roller or a cloth. The surface should be uniformly wet.
On very absorbent surfaces, this procedure may have to be
repeated within five minutes.
Attention! The liquid product must penetrate into the surface.
Rough surfaces: residues and foam should be evenly
distributed before drying, but not completely dried off.
Surface should appear wet.
Polished surfaces: carefully wipe product off, do not allow
residues to dry. On large areas, remove the product residues
with a squeegee and buff the surface with a machine and a
white pad. If product has started to dry, put some Lithofin
Stain stop PLUS and wipe the surface.
Check all surfaces for a uniform appearance, if necessary
immediately apply more Lithofin Stain stop PLUS.
The product cannot be removed once dry.
Please Note: Always test the product prior to use.
Some stones absorb unevenly which may result in a cloudy
appearance. Glass, polishes, plastics, varnish and other
surfaces sensitive to solvents must be protected against
splashes. Non-absorbent and wet surfaces cannot be
impregnated. Marble and limestone remain sensitive to acid.
Drying Time: most of the solvents evaporate within two hours.
Floors can be walked on after 12 hours. The impregnator is fully
effective after 24 hours.
Application Temperature: the temperature of the surface to be
treated should be between 10°C and 25°C.
Turn down under floor heating. Avoid direct sunlight.
Coverage: the coverage depends on the absorbency of
the surface. Approximations: rough, highly absorbent stones:
approx. 6 to 8m²/litre, polished stones: approx. 15m²
very dense stones: up to 40m²
Closed, cool and dry. Shelf life approx. two years.
Open containers should be used quickly.
Outdoors, the colour intensifying component lasts for one to
two years, depending on the type of stone and the weather.
The protective component will last for about three years.
Indoors, the durability depends on the care products used.
Strong degreasing agents and layer forming products are not

For glossy sealing of rough and honed natural and engineered stone surfaces. Embellishes the appearance and facilitates maintenance. Preferably used indoors. Surfaces: nearly all absorbent, porous natural stones (e.g. granite, gneiss, marble, limestone, slate, etc.) and engineered stones.
To protect absorbent natural stone against staining and to render surfaces water and oil repellent. Treatment is recommended for all stone surfaces, such as: floors in kitchen, dining and living areas. The surfaces can be polished, honed, or rough.
